From brunch to after dinner, Palm Springs has places that will tickle your fancy and satisfy that hunger! Check out my ten favorite places to eat in Palm Springs below.
10 Best Glamorous Places to Eat in Palm Springs
1. Workshop Kitchen + Bar
Workshop Kitchen + Bar was once a historic movie theater in the 1920s. Now, it’s an award-winning, posh place that offers elevated dining. The Modern American small plates are made with ingredients from local California farms that are just an hour away from your table. Brunch is fabulous and dinner is great too!
2. Rooster and the Pig
This Vietnamese-American restaurant is always busy so show up early. The small plates are always rotating so you’ll never get bored with the menu. The cocktails are freshly made and delicious and the Vietnamese iced coffee is something you have to try if you haven’t already! Do you love wine? Pair a beautiful deep red with your dinner and enjoy!
3. 4 Saints
When I visited Palm Springs, I noticed there was a trend of Modern American cuisine and I was in heaven! 4 Saints fits right in with that trend and is so incredibly stylish, you’ll want to find excuses to stay there all day. 4 Saints has the BEST desert dining. It’s located on the seventh floor of the Kimpton Rowan Hotel and offers 270-degree valley views.
4. The Barn Kitchen
A hidden gem at Sparrows Lodge, the Barn Kitchen is a casual American eatery that now offers lunch! Guests gush over their family-style dinners but you have to stay the night because dinner is for guests only. Guests can dine at the communal table or in a patio chair. You pick! Palm Springs is known for having temps in the triple digits and the Barn Kitchen is a great place to hide away and cool off!
5. The Purple Palm
The Purple Palm is ah-mazing!!!!! The stylish spot is located in the Colony Palms Hotel and offers California dishes that leave this Michigan gal begging for more. Originally from the 1930s speakeasy time, The Purple Palm offers a social atmosphere and an indoor-outdoor setting and guess what?! There’s a Detroit connection. The Purple Palm restaurant was inspired by the hotel’s first owner Al Wertheimer who was a Purple Gang member and a well-known bootlegger from Detroit.
6. SO.PA
This gorgeous all-day restaurant located at L’Horizon offers delish dishes with a Middle Eastern vibe. SO.PA is an upscale outdoor dining destination that allows you to dine under trees while you enjoy the desert air. Comfy booths and a live-edge communal table offers a California vibe to the alfresco setting. A firepit is also available to enjoy.
7. Sandfish Sushi and Whiskey
Chef Engin Onural knows his sushi! Not only that but Sandfish offers internationally-influenced dishes in an interior that brings together Scandinavian and Japanese elements with its natural woods, and fish-scale tiles behind the bar. Enjoy the atmosphere and order a Japanese whiskey while you’re there!
8. Le Vallauris Restaurant
Old school Le Vallauris is a fab spot to go to at night. The lovely patio always has a great crowd and the menu is always written on a blackboard. The chef and owners are French and the presentation of each dish is Instagram ready so get ready to take pics. Not many restaurants offer art on a plate but Le Vallauris Restaurant does.
9. Norma’s
Norma’s is MY FAVORITE brunch destination in Palm Springs. It’s modern with brightly colored decor and seating. If you love breakfast, they serve it all day and night! Are you gluten-free, vegan or vegetarian? They’ve got you covered. The place is effortlessly gorgeous yet quite casual yet extremely glamorous. You may have heard of it when the Kardashians visited. I hear it’s their favorite spot too! You must check it out!
10. Mister Parker’s
Ok. People. I’m not joking here and I’m not being paid to say this. If you ever want to feel like a celebrity that gets let in the back door to something fabulous, Mister Parker’s is your place. There’s no “storefront” with fancy signage and… well… there’s actually no door. It’s a divine gem located at The Parker Palm Springs just off the main lobby. You can spend hours in the lobby or at the Parker’s fancy Mini Bar and you’ll never know its there unless someone shows you the way. Mister Parker’s is hidden behind a secret doorway that is covered by floor-length black velvet drapes. It’s dark, discreet, sexy, and romantic. The service is exactly perfect and the food and wine pairings never disappoint.
