Diva’s Day Out Spring Luncheon & Fashion Show Supporting Dutton Farms
On Saturday, April 13th, I had the wonderful opportunity to support one of my favorite local non-profit organizations; Dutton Farms. The Rochester Junior Women’s Club held their 12th annual luncheon and fashion show in support of Dutton Farms, Inc.,
Dress –Tommy Hilfiger / Shoes – Miu Miu / Clutch – Louis Vuitton
The event is an annual fundraiser and attracts well over 300 women in the Michigan area. Upon entering the venue, each guest walked the red carpet, and enjoyed photo ops in front of the ‘Step and Repeat’.
In the banquet hall, the guests had the opportunity to shop at over 40 local area boutique vendors and during lunch we all enjoyed a fashion show which engaged some of the charitable recipients, RJWC members and local women eager to support the event.
A little more on Dutton Farms, Inc… Their mission is to empower and support adults with disabilities to live a life of purpose, inclusion, and dignity. Their vision is to dream and help plan for a day where people with developmental disabilities have an equal opportunity to pursue a life of dignity and purpose, perfectly matched to their unique abilities and desires. Many of you know, I have a psychology degree and have years of experience working with adults and children with disabilities. I have a very special place in my heart for adults and children with disabilities. Sometimes people shy away or ignore them. I can’t imagine not supporting them and loving them! Each soul is incredibly special.
Thank you to the Rochester Junior Women’s Club. The afternoon was lovely and the cause definitely worthy.
