10 Best Places to Eat In Las Vegas
Las Vegas is usually thought of when it comes to planning a mini getaway, a destination wedding, and/or a gambling excursion. I’ve had my share of visits to Las Vegas for all of the above including a cheer competition for my daughter including a quick family vaca and I have so much to share about this fun town! For starters, Vegas has some of the best restaurants in the world by some of the most talented chefs on the culinary scene. Delicious menus, tasty combos, and artistic food presentations at many of these restaurants are like no other.
On that note, I’ve put together a nice list of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas, just for you. If you plan on visiting soon, be sure to check a few of these out!
10 Best Places to Eat in Las Vegas
1. Bavette’s Steakhouse & Bar
Park MGM formerly known as Monte Carlo has one of the best restaurants in town, Bavette’s Steakhouse & Bar. The restaurant has gorgeous velvet wingback chairs, Nouveau-style mirrors, Tiffany glass shades, and red leather banquettes. It’s a romantic and intimate feel as soon as you walk in. If you’re an art lover, you’re going to love the beautiful displays of art. If you’re a steak lover, you’re going to love this restaurant even more!
2. Mizumi
A mystical Japanese destination is what Mizumi is all about. The decor entails sleek wood and lacquer finishes along with a Japanese garden and koi pond. Mizumi is known to offer some of the most impressive Japanese dishes in the world. This location offers several dining experiences under one roof including a robatayaki room, sushi and sashimi, a more western-style dining room and a teppanyaki room. The experience here is just as memorable as the food. I guarantee it.
3. Hatsumi
Hatsumi is known for robata which is grilling tasty seasonal ingredients over Japanese charcoal. Nothing is priced over $6.00 so order, order, order! The beef tataki with ponzu is the best and pork belly with turnip kimchi is following close behind. Some people avoid this restaurant when they hear about prices, but don’t make a decision based on that, go in and experience it for yourself. It’s just one of those places you have to experience without following the crowd.
4. Vetri Cucina
Vetri Cucina used to be known as Alize restaurant located on the 56th floor of The Palms. It’s an expansion for James Beard award winner Marc Vetri’s Philadelphia-based restaurant. The space was part of the Palms’ $690 million renovations and is quite gorgeous. The room has a rustic feel with wide-plank floorboards, exposed brick, and a Murano chandelier (that I’m completely in love with). The artistic team at Vetri is excellent at incorporating the best ingredients, products, and flavors from around the world into every dish.
5. Lago by Julian Serrano
Every hotel/casino in Las Vegas has a fabulous restaurant to try and Bellagio is no different. The Munge Leung-designed Lago located in Bellagio is one of my absolute favorites! Lago is filled with bright white and blue decor along with geometric patterns and glass mosaic designs. The best tables are among the glass overlooking the Bellagio fountains and if you time your reservation just right, you’ll be able to eat and watch the Bellagio Fountain show right from your VIP seat. It’s glorious. My advice is to order the romantic small plates to share and a glass of wine to pair. From there, keep the fun going. My menu favorites? The ultra-rich red wine risotto with burrata, the filet and lasagna verde.
6. Picasso
Speaking of Julian Serrano it’s not a surprise I’m a big fan since I’m also recommending Picasso. Picasso is a two-Michelin-starred classic destination that makes other restaurant owners jealous. The room houses original Picasso paintings for your viewing pleasure. I also am a huge fan of all the flowers on location. If you like Spanish wine, you won’t be disappointed with the selection. Dinner also is unforgettable. Please don’t hesitate to give this one a try!
7. Raku
Yes, you may of heard Raku is located in the back of a Chinatown strip mall but don’t worry, I’ve always found the hidden gems to be the best. The Japanese robatayaki restaurant has been known to house a few celebrity clients and Chef/owner Mitsuo Endo uses Japanese charcoal to grill up skewers like Kobe beef tendon to keep them coming back for more. Don’t eat too much because, after dinner, you can hop next door to the sister restaurant Sweets Raku for yummy dessert.
8. Cut
Wolfgang Puck opened Cut in the Palazzo in 2008. It’s definitely a restaurant made for meat lovers. Do you know your meats? Order the 100-percent pure Wagyu rib-eye. This is not a cheap place so plan accordingly. Items you may not see every day but HAVE TO TRY are the 2 oz. 100% Tajima Kobe, the 2 oz. Sanuki Olive Fed Kagawa, New York Sirloin and the 2 oz. Hokkaido, New York Sirloin called Private Reserve (all over $95).
9. Carbone
If you’re a fan of Italian-American flare, Carbone is for you. Order the parmesan and rigatoni in vodka sauce while you sit among velvet and crystal. You will love the food here, I promise. The captains are so sophisticated, I’m sure you’ll find yourself staring ( no really, you absolutely will lose focus). Oh, and after dinner, a bottle of limoncello is dropped at your table along with delicious seven-layer cookies. It’s all so right it seems wrong. It’s a glamorous experience for sure.
10. Gordon Ramsay Steak in Paris Las Vegas
Gordon Ramsay has a slew of restaurants and many of them are in Vegas too! My favorite is Gordon Ramsay Steak in Paris Las Vegas. The beef is good and the desserts are fun to look at and even better to eat. I found it to be a little more casual when it comes to the crowd but overall its still on my favorite list. Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation if you plan on having a meal in the dining room. It’s not that casual where you can just walk in. Enjoy!
